I'm a university professor & academic strategist all about REAL students' wins.

WELCOME TO MY VIRTUAL Lecture halL

LET ME TELL YOU A SECRET.

The truth? Academia runs on unspoken rules. Nobody teaches them, and by the time you’re expected to know them, asking feels like admitting you don’t belong. That’s the trap. And it’s why I built this platform — to give you the rules, so you can actually play the game.

When I became a professor, I made a promise to myself: I would teach my students how to write a thesis, step by step. It’s not some magic superpower – it’s a skill that can and should be taught. I transformed thesis and paper writing into a structured, easy to follow, daily plan. Envision yourself confidently navigating each phase, making steady progress, and ultimately, submitting a thesis or paper you're proud of.

Alongside teaching thousands online, here’s what I do inside academia:

  • Professor of Evidence-Based Health Research in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine at RWTH Aachen University
  • Co-speaker of Germany’s largest critical care study network – connecting 37 university hospitals and leading a $12.5M funded research initiative
  • Multiple-times published Cochrane author – advancing evidence synthesis in healthcare
  • Guideline coordinator for the German Society of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine (DGAI) and acknowledged methods expert at the Association of the Scientific Medical Societies in Germany (AWMF)
  • Mentor and leader – now not only publishing myself but guiding others to publish in high-impact journals

I'M ALL ABOUT

PASSIONATE people.

courage & Kindness.

Full inclusiveness.

And that includes you. With a zeal for academic achievement, I am here to guide you towards success, celebrating every milestone on your journey.

My approach is built on courage to explore new ideas and the kindness to support each other's academic journeys. Empowerment through knowledge.

By equipping every students with the tools necessary for effective research and thesis writing, we open doors to endless possibilities.

Communication is not the Key

"You can communicate all you want, but if students don't understand - it's silent chaos.
Communication is not the key, comprehension is."

— PROF. BENSTOEM

Worked in a hospital in the delivery room and later also in my own practice. I have helped hundreds of children into the world and cared for women before and after birth. That was an amazing time!

2001 - 2012

Completed vocational training, had my Midwifery exam at the age of 23 (after high school I had been put forward for a scholarship,  but was initially very reluctant to go to university).

2001

Decided to go to university after all. Completed my Bachelor's degree in Midwifery at Glasgow Caledonian University (as a complement to my degree in Germany). First in my family. with a university degree.

2010

NEXT

Transfer to the University Hospital RWTH Aachen (Department for Thoracic, Cardiac and Vascular Surgery). Here, as research coordinator, I  coordinated a new clinical study team and various RCTs. Started working on my first academic papers, had my first thoughts about a doctorate.

End of 2012

Then added the Master's degree straight away. Completion of the European Master in Midwifery at Hannover Medical School, Academie Verloskunde Maastricht, Glasgow Caledonian University, HES-SO Haute école spécialisée de Suisse occidentale and the University of Ljubljana.

NEXT

Birth of baby no. 2 (this time 8 months maternity leave).
Published two papers as first author between 2012 and 2015. I am not saying that this was easy. But science and writing have always been a counterbalance "for my head" during this phase of my life.

2015

Returned to work after 1 year maternity leave. I worked continuously whenever I had the time on my two publications for my doctorate. Both were topics that enabled me to collect data from any location - this was the only way I could do this parallel to maternity leave.

2014

Oral defense of doctoral thesis, doctorate as Dr. rer. medic. At the time I was 37 years old. On that day I was very nervous as a non-physician doing a doctorate at a medical faculty.
